MouseCyc Overview

MouseCyc is a new, manually curated database of both known and predicted metabolic pathways for the laboratory mouse. The database records for 1,060 genes in Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) are linked directly to 294 pathways, 1,790 enzymatic reactions, and 1,122 compounds in MouseCyc.

The MGI database contains the most comprehensive, integrated corpus of genetic and genomic data for the laboratory mouse. The mission of the MGI resource is to facilitate the use of the laboratory mouse as a model system for understanding human biology and disease. One of the major ongoing manual curation processes for MouseCyc is the creation of records for biochemical pathways that are specific to mouse or mammals.

A Summary of MouseCyc Pathways listing all mouse genes currently assigned to pathways in MouseCyc is available.

For additional information and help using MouseCyc, consult the MGI-Mouse Biochemical Pathways home page.
