With a fresh face for the East coast and curated in the spirit of their alignment with the art community, Playboy partnered with the dynamic The Hole gallery and established a strong presence at Art Basel 2012.

On Wednesday, December 5^th, Playboy and The Hole co-hosted the Art Basel kick-off party at Delano Beach Club. The fête featured a large-scale installation by Parker Ito, along with a live performance by A$AP Rocky. The event marked the debut of a designer collaboration with Cushnie et Ochs, featuring a limited edition leather bra.

From December 4th-9th, Playboy had a presence at Fresh Basel: Performance Based Artworks and Art Activations 2012, a group art exhibition curated by The Hole which was featured throughout the week at an historic villa in Miami Beach. As part of the exhibition, Playboy presented a special art exhibit inspired by Playmate As Fine Art, a series of original pieces featuring Playmates, created by Richard Prince, Cindy Sherman, Wes Lang, Ryan McGinness, and Tracey Emin, to name a few. The series was featured in Playboy’s January/February 2013 issue.
