spacer Adriana Lima will make history as the first woman to appear in the Pirelli Calendar while visibly pregnant. The model was shot by photographer Steve McCurry wearing a black sleeveless shirt that covers her breasts but exposes the bump caused by her pregnancy with her second child. Vanity Fair Italia has an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the 2013 Pirelli Calendar, which reveals that Lima will be joined in the annual collection of photos by models Elisa Sednaoui, Petra Nemcova, Isabeli Fontana, Liya Kebede, and Kyleigh Kuhn. In the sneak peek, McCurry explains that because all of his subjects support various nongovernmental organizations and charities, the 2013 edition will be a "calendar of the soul."

Pirelli announced that McCurry had shot the calendar in early June, and the photographer said then he wanted to "portray women who are sexy without being naked."
