6th Annual AIGA Toledo / BGSUGD Student Portfolio Review Day
Saturday, April 13, 2013 / Bowling Green
We are proud to announce SHINE, the 6th Annual AIGA Toledo / BGSUGD Student Portfolio Review Day, Saturday, April 13th, from 10:00am–4:00pm, on the campus of BGSU in the acclaimed Wolfe Center. We are currently seeking experienced designers to review, as well as recent grads to participate as panelists. Please fill out this inquiry for if you would like to volunteer ( https://spoke.wufoo.com/forms/open-call-portfolio-reviewers-session-leaders/ ). Don't miss this great opportunity to (re)connect with regional graphic design faculty, students, and professionals. Special guest and acclaimed designer Gail Anderson will be giving a closing talk, as well as serving as a portfolio reviewer for the day. Anderson is a New York City-based graphic designer, educator, and writer. She has served as creative director of design for SpotCo, an advertising agency whose clients include over half the shows on Broadway, and as senior art director of Rolling Stone magazine. Anderson is an AIGA medalist, and co-author of seven books on design and pop culture, including the upcoming Found Type, with Steven Heller. She teaches at the School of Visual Arts, and most recently designed a postage stamp for the USPS commemorating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Participating students will receive immediate evaluation and feedback from regional design professionals who are working and teaching in the field of graphic design each and everyday. Undergraduate and graduate graphic design students, at all levels and from all institutions, are encouraged to participate (recent grads as well!).
