Could IT be Cloud?
2e2 sees 3 key themes emerging that will transform organisations:
- Business and Service Innovation: IT becomes a strategic asset.
- Collapsing of organisational boundaries: Cloud opens the enterprise to partners, clients and citizens.
- Acceleration of application delivery: Cloud provides a cheaper, lower risk platform to build and quickly deliver new applications and services.
2e2 sees most IT organisations evolving to a blend of the three models below:
- Public Cloud Services: IT services will be procured from multiple suppliers. Service Providers will aggregate content and applications to share across multiple organisations. Organisations will source infrastructure services from organisations like 2e2.
- Private Cloud ‐ Off Premise: Organisations will have a private cloud provided as a service, an evolution from a traditional Managed Service model that delivers the benefits of cloud; pay as you go, flexibility to scale up and down, automated provisioning, flexible financing and SLA’s.
- Private Cloud ‐ On Premise: Organisations will retain their own data centre, but they will either independently, or with help from 2e2, optimise, standardise and automate their infrastructure to deliver their own cost effective and flexible service.
