Friends House Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Friends House Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is Medicare certified and open to the public for those needing short stay or long-term care; hospice care; respite care; and IV, physical, speech, and occupational therapies.
With 24 hour nursing care, we accommodate 34 residents in four private rooms and fifteen semi-private rooms. Our Unit is open to anyone, not just residents of Friends House. Our clientelle include those requiring skilled short-term nursing care and rehabilitation; those who are especially frail and require long-term nursing care; and those who are terminally ill and receive palliative care, often with the aid of hospice providers.
Advantages of Friends House skilled nursing include our high staff-to-resident ratio, small resident count, very low staff turnover, and the wonderful camaraderie that exists between staff and residents. Since we have an eight-acre campus with multiple lounge areas, there are great places for residents to visit with family and friends.
Friends House Readmission Rates to Hospitals Compared to State & National Averages
Friends House understands the pressure hospitals are under to avoid post-acute care re-hospitalizations. We feel it is our quality assurance duty to work with all stakeholders to avoid costly, avoidable re-hospitalizations. Friends House currently tracks hospital readmission rates as well as readmission rates for residents diagnosed with AMI, COPD, CHF, and pneumonia.
