About

Because some friends post about coffee so I wanted to also post about favorite drinks a lot of people in this world. Not in terms of the benefits or disadvantages of coffee but in terms of its history. Precisely the history of coffee in the Americas in general and in the United States in particular.

Surely many are surprised to know that the coffee in the Americas came from Java.Even as late as the year 1906 all the coffee in the United States by a merchant named Java. No wonder that one of the slang word for coffee here is Java.

After the success of coffee planting project on the island of Java in the seventeenth century, the Dutch are seeds of coffee plants to the French king Louis XIV in 1713. From France, the plant was brought to the colonies in the Caribbean. From the Caribbean, to the coffee plants crossed the American continent, starting from U.S. southern, central and northern. Came to the country of Uncle Sam.

The incident occurred long before Starbucks coffee shop sells coffee Java (and also coffee Sumatra) in their stalls. Indonesia was also long before the immigrants who came to live in America and felt very proud when I saw the coffee with the word Java or Sumatra in department stores. I wish to know if the (coffee) Java (both from Java or Java is not named) has long been a part of life most Americans would be feeling mediocre.

Americans themselves exactly a fan of coffee though only eighth in the world. Fifty-four percent of American adults drink coffee every day while 30 percent drink coffee but only occasionally. The average coffee drinker spends 3.1 cups of coffee per day. Money circulating in the coffee business for 18 billion a year compared with the world coffee market worth 80 billion dollars.

Coffee craze seems Americans will be passed on to future generations.Although only slightly different tastes. If the older generation prefers to use coffee cream or sugar, the younger generation of coffee enthusiasts prefer coffee blended with spices, flavoring mixture. Vanilla, chocolate, caramel is a popular addition to this generation in their coffee. Currently it has about 30% of specialty coffee fans like this let alone in the future. Maybe later so the same with a more viscous American tea aroma additional spices than the tea itself.
