Assemblage Plus is a premium, refined template for the Stacey CMS. It derives from the original Assemblage template, enhancing it with refined aesthetics, novel functionality and state-of-the-art technologies.

A wonderful view

Just as the original Assemblage Template, Assemblage Plus differs from most static templates in that it lays out index pages in a clean and elegant arrangement using client-side scripting. A special layout plugin has been developed for this purpose, FreeTile, based on ideas from jQuery Masonry and vGrid, and pushed further with novel techniques such as columnless packing.

One size fits all

The adaptive index page allows screen estate to be used optimally, with the layout being able to adapt to various screen widths. Therefore, you content is compatible with a wide range of devices from portables to high resolution computer screens and retina displays.

Fearless Navigator

In Assemblage Plus navigation relies on the concept of filtering content by category. When the index page loads, snapshots of all projects pop up. Selecting a category or sub-category filters the snapshots, showing all of it's items as well as those of all of it's sub-categories. If you want to hide the content of a category no problem. Add a thumbnail to it and it's content will only appear when the category is selected.
All these operations happen instantly on the client side using smooth jQuery transitions, so that the right content reaches your visitor without any delays whatsoever.

History at your fingertips

When clicking on an internal site link Assemblage Plus uses a cocktail of AJAX and HTML5 History manipulation to deliver new content without ever leaving the page you're in. Content is fetched in the background, the URL bar is updated automatically and specially crafted transitions contribute to a smooth, seamless browsing experience!
Assemblage Plus gracefully falls back to traditional page links in the case of an HTML4 browser and therefore behaves just as well for anyone.

Gallery to go

The gallery has always been an integral part of the Assemblage Plus template. The new gallery, introduced in A+ 1.4, provides great flexibility by intelligently adapting its behavior depending on the device it is being used on. Touch devices see a sliding gallery which can be controlled by swiping as well as clicking, while pointing devices (such as computers) see a gallery with fading transitions, more pleasing and softer to the eye on large screens. The gallery type can be as well force-selected by the user.

Let Stacey do the bookkeeping

Assemblage Plus, just like it's predecessor, will work right out of the box on a standard Stacey installation. Therefore, you can immediately take advantage of Stacey's intuitive way of organizing your content without worrying about incompatibilities. Additional Assemblage Plus-specific features are non-intrusive and have no effect if you change your template later on.
