I was agreeing with you. I don't really get the Steam Box. Consoles are popular because they're easy to deal with and cheap. If this is neither, I don't see the point. It absolutely needs to be sub-500-dollars, or it's just going to be a weird little curiosity for super Valve fans to own.

I think they showed most of their first party stuff at the conference -- again, maybe there's one or two more surprises left for E3. Oh, and I could easily see Knack being delayed for a while. A game being made by an unknown developer and designed by a guy who's last big game was Marble Madness? Has mess written all over it. Also I bet we'll be waiting a while for InFamous: Second Son.

I don't think any of this generation's consoles will be as succesful as last generation's. This generation the second place console has sold *over 75 million units*. That's more than the winning console sold most generations. It's not going to happen again. And yes, of course this article comes with a big MAY, but I don't think it's a worst case scenario EVER. I think it's a fairly likely scenario, and not necessarily that bad. All the consoles will get off to slow start, but I think at least a couple of them, and possibly all three, will do just fine in the end.
