GPS Update
Hey friends,
We’re busy organizing Global Power Shift and a lot has been happening. We’ve had to make some big changes, so here’s a quick update.
First and foremost, the gathering in Turkey – Global Power Shift Phase 1 — has been pushed back by two weeks. The new dates are June 24 to 30.
We had to make this change due to circumstances beyond our control. However, we understand that this means some of you will now be unable to participate. If that’s the case, we sincerely apologize.
But Global Power Shift is not just the convergence in Istanbul. That will be important, but the measure of its success will be the breadth and depth of organizing that happens afterward. Even if you can’t be part of Phase 1, you can still play an important role in Phase 2 and beyond.
Ultimately, Global Power Shift is about confronting the climate crisis head on. We’re building peoplepower to challenge the fossil fuel industry and those obstructing action. We’re connecting the dots between extreme weather and climate change. And we’re helping to catalyze the solutions that science, justice, and equity demand.
We’ll get back to you with Phase 1 decisions after March 15.
In the meanwhile, here’s a graphic that illustrates a core principle of our work — that every pair of hands is essential, and can help spark a Global Power Shift.

Looking forward to working with all of you — onwards!
