    Preserve the SoCo Food-Trailer Park

Does the city council have a response to the online petition on Change.org to stop the construction of a botique hotel on the site of the SoCo food-trailer park? It has 8,000+ signatures and growing but I wonder if the city council has even taken notice. The citizens of this city say over and over again that we don't want these large corporate hotel/condo developments where our treasured cultur... Read More

    Law for Taxis

Las Vegas cabs are prohibited by law from stopping for a customer on the street ...even if the cab is empty! Taxis may only pick up at hotels and established pickup points. We Should add that to the taxis here in Austin, so that everyone would know where they can get picked up safely and not in the road

    Create Safer Roads

I've lived here for 1.5 years and was in 2 major car accidents both the fault of the asleep at the wheel other drivers. Once with my children where I was squashed between a twitter texter and a redneck who turned on his blinker at the moment he was turning left. I hadn't ever been in an accident in 30 plus years driving around the world and in Manhattan. OK so what to do. Here's my checklist o... Read More

    Reduce the red tape.

Reduce unemployment, homelessness, and the amount of people on welfare by reducing the amount of red tape the city makes a person go through to get a living wage paying job.

    Austin Lacks

I hear city officials claiming Austin is now a world class city...I wonder if they travel.  What about a nice zoo or an aquarium or some nice museums or other qualities of life etc?  Austin was a blast in my 20's but there isn't much culture or many attractions here.  Maybe Austin's proximity to San Antonio will always prevent Austin from ever having things like amusement park an... Make turning south on 360 from southbound 183 safer

Today, if I'm going south on 183 and take the 360 exit, I'm often stuck on the exit ramp because traffic blocks my ability to get into the rightmost lane to get to 360 south. Perhaps a yield sign to traffic going south on the 183 access road, south of where the exit ramp comes into the access road would allow traffic to change lanes safely and remove congestion from the ramp.

All Trucks to Use Left Lane of I-35 during Peak Traffic H...

Idea - During the hours of 7 -9 am and 4 - 6 pm, all trucks traveling on I-35 should be forced to use the left lane. Reason 1: It is estimated that 70% of eighteen wheeler traffic coming from the south (San Antonio)  does not make a stop in Austin/Round Rock. Why would we then subject them to driving in the center and far right lanes where vehiclular traffic is entering/exiting ... Read More
