Pacific Outfitters Travel Gear, located at the San Francisco International Airport is typically known as a “grab and go” business. Their customers are often impulse shoppers, so having various payment options available is a real convenience.  Making the decision to offer Discover was just an extension of their overall payment strategy.

“When you go through your wallet and you are looking for a card to use, you don’t want to be limited,” says Ebon, the owner/operator of RDG Concessions, who runs the Pacific Outfitters Travel Gear store. “When a store doesn’t provide that option, sometimes you don’t want to complete the purchase.”

Offering a wide selection of payment options, including Discover, was a win-win for Ebon’s business. It was easy to implement and his employees loved being able to accommodate every request for card acceptance. “There’s sometimes a lot of hoops to go through with other cards,” says Ebon. Accepting Discover was a natural way to increase business and a great way for Discover cardmembers to keep earning rewards.
