Doctoral Research

Students working towards the Doctor of Philosophy degree offered by the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford make vital contributions to ISG research. We are always looking for outstanding students, and we can invariably find funding for them from the numerous sources available at Oxford.

Students are selected according to the standard criteria for research degrees, as well as their suitability for available research projects. Before approaching a potential supervisor, it is advisable to read up on their work and to find out whether their interests and yours coincide. Students may propose a specific research topic, or may prefer to discuss topics in their area of interest with a prospective supervisor.

More information on applying to the Oxford D.Phil. program for Computer Science is available here.
