Ingmar Baumgart received a Diplom-Informatiker degree (comparable to M.Sc. in computer science) in 2005 from University of Karlsruhe, Germany and a Ph.D. in computer science in 2010 from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Research interests:
- User-centric networking / Distributed social networks (SODESSON)
- Distributed Voice-over-IP (P2PSIP/P2PNS)
- Simulation of peer-to-peer networks (OverSim)
- Security of peer-to-peer networks
- Experimental facilities (PlanetLab, G-Lab, GpENI)
- Mobile communications
