ONLINE EVENT REGISTRATION COMPANY AMIANDO DOUBLES SALES IN Q1

EUROPE - Munich-based Amiando, an online event registration and ticketing company which formed in 2006, says it has increased sales growth in all markets, and reports a doubling of sales January to May 2012.

The company claims 80,000 event organisers now use its online event management tool and its online ticketing solutions are used by Berlin Music Week, the C’n’B Convention, and the SEMF Festival.

Amiando won ‘Technology Pioneer of 2010’ at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Germany remains the Web 2.0 company’s most important core market with twice as many sales clocked in Q1 2012 compared to the same period in 2011. Amiando also reports 135 per cent sales grew in both the UK and Asia in quarter one and 150 per cent in the USA.

New offices in Hong Kong and Paris were opened in 2011, and this year in London. The company has 75 employees, four offices and is a subsidiary company, XING AG.

From June 2012, Amiando customers have been able to calculate their event’s CO2 emissions per attendee and offset this through a forest protection project in Mozambique.

“With XING as a parent company and our expertise in event ticketing, we can now implement unique products worldwide, which will be developed for our customers during the next months and years,” says Amiando CEO and Co-Founder Felix Haas.
