EAG at the EGU General Assembly 2013

The EAG welcomes Liane G. Benning as Vice-President

spacer Liane G. Benning, University of Leeds, has been recently elected Vice-President of the EAG. She has served the council for over five years as Chair of the Communications Committee then as Secretary, and lately as founding editor of Geochemical Perspectives. Liane’s energy and dedication to the society have been fundamental to the growth of the EAG.

Antarctic Scientists Discover 18kg Meteorite

spacer An international team of scientists, working at Princess Elisabeth Antarctica research station, has discovered a meteorite with a mass of 18kg embedded in the East Antarctic ice sheet, the largest such meteorite found in the region since 1988. Vinciane Debaille (Université Libre de Bruxelles and EAG Councillor) who led the Belgian team during the expedition, tells us more.

Goldschmidt 2013: abstract submission and registration now open

spacer Abstract submission and registration for Goldschmidt2013 are now live. Abstract deadline is 12 April and early registration is 25 June. EAG members benefit from the reduced registration fee (€490 / €295 for students) and received their membership number by email on 25 February. If you haven’t received it, please contact office@eag.eu.com.
