Col. Aaron M. Prupas is the Commander of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. NASIC is the Air Force analysis center for foreign air, space and specialized intelligence. He is responsible for operating the $2.1 billion center with its four groups, four directorates and 18 squadrons. Managing an annual budget of more than $330 million, he leads 3,100 personnel providing a broad range of integrated, tailored assessments, products and services to joint operational forces, national policymakers and the acquisition community.

Colonel Prupas entered the Air Force in 1990 after receiving his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He completed Intelligence Officer Training at Goodfellow AFB, Texas, in 1991 and is a career intelligence officer and weapons instructor. He has served in a variety of positions at the squadron, wing and combatant command levels. As an instructor at the U.S. Air Force Weapons School, Colonel Prupas served as the Chief of Weapons School Academics and the editor-in-chief of the Air Force Weapons Review. In this position, he was responsible for more than 900 courses consisting of 4,500+ academic hours for all Weapons School Divisions.

His combat deployments include Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1993 and Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait in 1996 supporting Operation Southern Watch. In 1999, he deployed to Aviano AB, Italy as the Chief of Intelligence for F-117 operations during Operation Allied Force. He deployed to the Combined Air Operations Center, Prince Sultan AB, Saudi Arabia, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and served in Kabul, Afghanistan, as the U.S. Central Command representative for the 2009 International Security and Assistance Force Commander's Strategic Assessment.

Colonel Prupas commanded the 19th Weapons Squadron, Nellis AFB, Nev and served as the Deputy Director for the Commander's Initiatives Group at U.S. Central Command. Prior to his assignment to NASIC, he served as the commander Air Force Technical Applications Center, Patrick AFB, Fla.
