Timothy J. Traub, Jr. is Vice Commander of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. NASIC is the Air Force center of excellence for all-source foreign air and space intelligence. NASIC provides a broad range of integrated, tailored intelligence assessments and products to both Air Force and joint operational forces, national policymakers, and the acquisition community.

Colonel Traub graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1989 with a degree in computer science. A career intelligence officer, he directed intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations in Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey and Alaska and supported operations across the U.S. European Command, U.S. Central Command and U.S. Pacific Command theaters.

He has commanded at the squadron level, leading the 303rd Intelligence Squadron at Osan Air Base, South Korea in providing combat intelligence for the Combined Forces Command, U.S. Forces Korea and Seventh Air Force.

Prior to his current assignment, he served as Director of Operations for the U.S. Pacific Command Joint Intelligence Operations Center at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii where he directed all theater intelligence operations in support of joint task forces and the security of the Asia-Pacific region.
