FAQs

Q: Who is eligible to join the QB3 Accelerator?
A: Any life science startup about to become operational or currently operating in California can join.

Q: If I am in a QB3 incubator or in QB3 Startup in a Box, am I automatically part of Accelerator?
A: Membership is not automatic in either case, but it is very easy to join.
If you are in a QB3 incubator, you can join the Accelerator program free of charge. Please fill out the membership form.
If you are in QB3 Startup in a Box, you are not automatically part of the Accelerator. If you are interested in joining, please fill out the membership form.

Q: How much does it cost to join?
A: The program is FREE for members of our incubator network and $250 for companies not in our incubator network.

Q: Why should I join?
A: The QB3 Accelerator was put in place to allow startups to become operationally efficient. We have been able to negotiate competitive prices and discounts from a suite of service providers recommended by life science startups. By leveraging the total number of companies and employees in our incubator network, these discounts are more substantial than those a small company can negotiate on their own.

In addition, our members get priority and free of charge access to our QED seminars and advice from QB3, as well as access to CEO breakfasts, introductions and networking with key opinion leaders and industry partners, as well as our virtual peer-to-peer portal, where you can connect with other QB3 Accelerator members and mentors.

Q: I’m interested in a service or provider that is not listed. Is there a way of adding that to the program?
A: We have thought long and hard about how to make the QB3 Accelerator helpful for life science startups. If there is some other service you would like to see that we aren’t currently offering, we are open to your feedback and suggestions. We also look forward to getting feedback about our current service providers.
