Gisele Bndchen at Rio Fashion Week One, None, and a Hundred Thousand Gisele Bündchen. by Danica Gianola Born on July 20th 1980 in Horizontina (Brazil), with her 5 ft 11 in and 36-24-35 measurements, Gisele Bündchen relaunched supermodels in 1999, after her debut on the Vogue Magazine Cover, which marked an end to the fashion's "heroin chic" era. Soon after, she was named the most beautiful girl in the world, by Rolling Stone magazine. Allure, Arena, Citizen K, Elle, Esquire, Flair, Forbes, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, i-D, Marie Claire, Newsweek, The Face, Time, Vanity Fair, Veja and W are but a few of the more than 500s magazines, which had Gisele on the front cover. Considered as being the world's richest supermodel, Gisele campaigned for several companies, ranging from fashion's Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Mervyn's, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Versace, Cline, Givenchy, Bvlgari, Lanvin, Guerlain, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Earl Jean, Zara, Chlo, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria's Secret; to Swiss luxury watches Ebel, Mac computers, Citibank and Nivea; posing for acclaimed photographers, as Mario Testino, Mert & Markus, Annie Leibovitz and David LaChapelle. click here to view Gisele BündchenGisele Bündchen is known under several nicknames, among which The Hurricane Gisele and the Midas Queen: the last one has to do with the fact that, once she campaigns for a brand, the brand has a soar in its sales. click here to view Gisele BündchenAyrton Camargo and Andra Simes photographed Gisele Bündchen for "Jornal do Brazil". Since the team is highly appreciated by the former newspaper's digital editor Cristina de Luca, it was given carte blanche to approach the Fashion Rio Week and Collcci (colcci.com.br) fashion shows. Since Gisele Bündchen is the Brazilian version of the American dream, and every Brazilianis in love with her, and every girl dreams about a similar path to glory, Ayrton and Andra came up with the idea of transposing the dream in a VR. click here to view Gisele BündchenTo create it, Ayrton shot something as 250 pictures of Gisele Bündchen on her three appearances on stage, meanwhile being careful to keep the camera at the same exact point. The best ones were later mounted on the bubble during the night, in a frightening Photoshop and stitching work, to which Andra added all the sounds. Ayrton started working as photographer at 18 and is considered today as a polyvalent Imagemaker. Apart from the conventional techniques, he even masters QTVR and light painting, techniques on which he is a precursor in Brazil. Ayrton started his career within Editora Bloch, worked with Claus Mayer on Camera 3 and with Jacques Cousteau on several expeditions. In 1984 he settled his own studio in Rio de Janeiro, where he produces images for advertisement and press all around Brazil. During the years he sometimes worked overseas, where he was able to gain international knowhow. He was twice Regional Director of Abrafoto in Rio de Janeiro and took part to several expositions (either collective or individual). He studied Motion Pictures and Television Arts at the University of California in Los Angeles and he has given classes of Advertising Photography, Products' photography and Introduction to Digital Photography (among others) to the photography schools Visual Arts at Lagoa and Barra among some Universities all in Rio. Ayrton even works as advisor for the companies and photographers which are switching to the digital Era, mastering cameras SRL, MAC computers and teaching the use of Photoshop CS. His wife Andra Simes is his associate, assistant and also a second photographer in big jobs, where clients need two people shooting at the same time to better capture the event.
