WHY WAIT UNTIL YOURE AN ADULT TO GO TO COLLEGE?
Continuing Education & Outreach provides an array of youth programs throughout the year. Some are academically based, while others are taken for pure enjoyment or to learn a new skill. All youth programs are created to appeal to kids and to provide them with an enriching educational experience. Instructors who are highly qualified and have expertise teaching within that age group teach our youth programs.
2013 Summer Youth Musical Theater Workshop (130102)
This program is for youths, 12-18 years old, who want to participate in a real musical production while learning new skills and developing experience. This year the musical is In the Heights. Two groups preform their own production (two performances each) with their own actors, singers, and chorus. All students have the opportunity to participate in several aspects of the production. Professional artists provide vocal and acting lessons and coaching as related to the musical roles. This year there will be a full residential as well as commuter option. Master classes and private lessons will be available for an extra fee.
