Welcome to the Northern New Mexico Group of the Sierra Club. More than 2700 of your friends and neighbors are members…members who want a safe and healthy community in which to live, smart energy solutions to combat climate change, and an enduring legacy for America's wild places. Find out how the club can help you explore, enjoy, and protect the planet.

Members of the Northern New Mexico Group reside in Colfax, Harding, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Juan, San Miguel, Santa Fe, and Union counties.

Current priority conservation efforts of the Group include:

  • Clean energy solutions – emphasis on energy efficiency and accelerating adoption of distributed solar energy
  • Transitioning from dirty coal to clean energy
  • Cool Cities programs
  • Public Lands protection

In addition to conservation activities, we lead more than 150 day hikes and winter sport outings each year. We also publish an excellent book “Day Hikes in the Santa Fe Area” which includes descriptions of 60 hikes.

The Group’s office is located at 1807 2nd Street, Unit 45, Santa Fe, NM 87506. Our office is open from 1- 4 pm on Wednesday afternoons. Call 983-2703 to confirm our volunteer will be there.
