VA SUN is a citizens network of solar supporters in Virginia. It is part of a community listserve open to any individual or business interested in supporting solar in the state. The listserve is a place for practical advice on how to go solar, as well as a place to keep track of local developments around solar. UPDATE! Keep the Ban on Uranium Mining in Virginia! Uranium mining is a dirty and dangerous practice that puts the health of all Virginians at risk. Sierra Club is working with citizens across the Commonwealth to ensure the ban on uranium mining in Virginia is upheld. More information at keeptheban.org/.

Offshore Wind Energy Presentation

Virginia has some of the best conditions in the world for an offshore wind farm. A dozen countries in Europe and Asia have offshore wind turbines already, and several states are committed to following suit. This slide show presentation explores the opportunities and barriers to bringing offshore wind to Virginia consumers.
