DECIDE achievements

On February 28th 2013 the DECIDE project has reached its end. DECIDE, a European project within the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), in its 30 months of activity, implemented an integrated e-Infrastructure and user-friendly, ubiquitous services dedicated to the study and early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.

DECIDE Social impact

As the DECIDE service is meant to be mainly exploited in the clinical praxis, its social impact is expected to be important in the longer-term perspective: dementia and its most common form, Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), represent one of the toughest scientific, health, and social care challenges of our time.

International aspects

The DECIDE consortium strongly believes that a European, and even wider approach is needed to tackle the problem of AD and neurodegeneration in general.
