Booking Janet

Booking Information For Speaking

Janet Mock has traveled the country addressing audiences from Columbia and Stanford to Wellesley and Yale. Through her presentations, readings, Q&As, and most notably her conversation series, she describes her lived experiences as a young trans woman writer of color and contextualizes those experiences to draw connections between her life, her work and presence in mainstream media and popular culture, and her overall mission to broaden our collective portrait of womanhood as a millennial feminist.

Janet speaks about the power of storytelling in literature and popular culture, the history of trans women leaders in feminist, LGBT and social justice movements, and the personal-political dynamics of visibility and voice. Though she much prefers to share the stage in conversation with other scholars and cultural critics, she’s also available to deliver keynote presentations, commencement addresses as well as readings and Q&A workshops around storytelling and her road to writing and publishing her New York Times bestselling memoir, Redefining Realness, a book that has been widely adopted as course material for gender, women and queer studies as well as African-American literature courses across campuses.

To inquire about Janet’s availability, fees and other pertinent booking information, email details about your event to speaking (at) janetmock (dot) com to reach her agents at Chartwell Speakers.
