Welcome to the Financial Aid Office

spacer

The UNCG Financial Aid Office staff is here to assist students with the process of applying for financial aid. Our experienced staff is available during office hours to respond to your financial aid questions and requests. No appointments are necessary. Students are assisted in the office on a walk-in basis or may call 336-334-5702 to speak with a financial aid representative. Our office is located on the corner of Spring Garden Street and Kenilworth Street.

To apply for most types of aid, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application must be renewed each academic year for a student to continue receiving financial aid. The priority filing date for the FAFSA is March 1, and students who have completed a FAFSA by this date will be considered first for financial aid. Certain scholarships, grants, or other types of aid require a separate application through the department or organization providing the aid.

In an effort to contact students as quickly and efficiently as possible about their status in the financial aid process, the UNCG Financial Aid Office will use email as the primary means of communicating with students. We will use UNCG’s iSpartan address as the main contact email but will also use preferred email as a secondary contact. It is your responsibility to maintain your preferred email address in order to receive important financial aid information at an address other than your iSpartan account. Updates to your preferred email address may be made through UNCGenie.

Remember: You must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every academic year in order to receive financial aid.

The UNCG Federal School Code is 002976.
