Student Code of Conduct Process
Members of the UNCG community embrace fundamental principles to ensure a campus environment conducive to peaceful and productive living and study. These principles include five values:
- Honesty
- Trust
- Fairness
- Respect
- Responsibility
Students who violate these values may be charged with a conduct violation. The policy, in its entirety, is available online at Student Policy Handbook: Student Code of Conduct

Received a Student Referral?
If you have received a student referral to the Dean of Students Office, please contact the office at 336-334-5514 to schedule an appointment. Please review the Conduct Process Flowchart.
Received a Code of Conduct Charge Notification Letter?
You can access your letter by going to uncg-advocate.symplicity.com. Select user type STUDENT. (If you do not see that option, click on the link Change User Type at the bottom of the page). You will then enter your username and your UNCG password. (NOTE: Your username is the first part of your email i.e. jsdoe)
Appeal Student Conduct Decision
You can appeal a student conduct decision by going to uncg-advocate.symplicity.com. Select user type STUDENT. (If you do not see that option, click on the link Change User Type at the bottom of the page). You will then enter your username and your UNCG password. (NOTE: Your username is the first part of your email i.e. jsdoe)On the home tab of the student portal in the upper right hand corner will be a button labeled “Appeal Incident Decision”.
