Description
The Trouble With Robots is a side-scrolling real-time customisable card game with elements in common with Magic: The Gathering and Plants vs Zombies. Build a deck of 5 - 9 cards and then attempt to beat a level using the summon and spell cards you've chosen. More cards are unlocked as you play, and there are plenty of combos and new deck archetypes to be discovered.

The Trouble With Robots also features a humorous story about the people of a fantasy world trying to fight off an invasion of bureaucratic robots. Skyscrapers and shopping malls are built, and their beautiful world will never be the same again!
  • 48 cards to collect
  • 32 levels
  • Limited mode for extended play
  • Summon hordes of angry peasants, griffins and dragons!
The game is currently available from the Digital Chestnut website and is getting great reviews from the indie community. You can download the demo here:

'The Trouble With Robots is a lean little card battle game that picks a few elements and does them right' (JayIsGames)

'I'm not exactly sure whether the hand-drawn graphics or the promise of a new card-game drew me in, but I do know that, at the end of the day, The Trouble With Robots cost me said day.' (indiegames.com)

'cleverly designed' (GameInformer)

'I couldn’t help but chuckle at some of the one-liners' (The Leet)

'The Trouble With Robots is a fine card-based strategy game' (Out of Eight PC Game Reviews)
