Podbean Now Uses HTML5!

Great news for all of our Podbean members who want to listen to or watch their podcasts directly from Podbean on a browser that doesn't support Flash, including the iPhone or iPad! We have just added an HTML5 web player to Podbean, so you can now take your podcasts on the go! HTML5 allows multiple formats to be used for a video, so your browser can just pick the one that works and play your media with no third party add-ins, like Adobe Flash. For those of you who are less into the technical side, basically what this means is that when you try to play media from the main Podbean site on your iPhone and iPad, it will actually work instead of showing you the little puzzle piece. Forget to download the most recent episode of your favorite podcast? No problem, now you can access it directly from Podbean's mobile site! This update applies to all of Podbean, so your individual pages will also have HTML5 players! This means you can listen to a podcast from the main Podbean site, or a user's individual site, without any extra browser plug-ins! New Editor Enhanced with Easiness and Security

A new Visual/Html editor is implemented in Podbean publishing system.With this new editor, you can easily switch between Visual and HTML editing mode. Moreover, a new security mechanism is added. Scripts, embed code etc html tags will be automatically dropped in Free accounts. Paid users still can copy & paste any widget, script and embed code. We expect this security improvement will reduce the SPAM usage on our site and improve user experience to all our users.

Podbean.com is glad to announce the new sidebar widget "Podcast Fans Widget" now is available to all Podbean Podcast publishers.

Fans are registered Podbean users who subscribe to your podcast via the "Subscribe" link under your sidebar logo or via the "Add to My Subscription" link in Podbean Podcast directory.
