Eastside is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year. Over the past 20 years, we have worked with a quarter of a million young people, including some of the capital's most disadvantaged children and helped to launch the creative careers of countless talented young Londoners.
Eastside is working in partnership with the BFI this Autumn to provide young people aged 16-19 with opportunities to be part of the UK's future film industry. Led by industry experts, our course will cover every area of the film industry helping young people to make a career in film, a reality.
Eastside's work with children and young people is supported by many well known and respected figures from the arts and media; our celebrity patrons are standing-by to read you a line from their favourite books - but how many of these well loved stories, plays and books can you name...?
Volunteers make a real difference to our work with children and young people. We have a range of opportunities available to work directly alongside our professional artists, or to gain experience of arts administration and project management in our charity's Shoreditch office.
Adobe Youth Voices ignites young people's Creative Confidence - the ability to harness creative skills to solve problems - with advanced digital media tools and powerful storytelling techniques. If your school or youth group would like to take part in 2014/15, you can apply now.
Over the last few years Eastside has enabled 199 young people to achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Arts Award and helped many more. We are very proud to announce that we have recently been awarded Arts Award Good Practice Centre status 2013-2014, by Trinity College London.
Eastside has its own arts education centre; The Lower Eastside which includes a Studio space and an executive Boardroom, which are available for private hire, at competitive rates. 100% of all the income raised goes towards our work with local children and their families in East London.
