Boat Rentals on Lake Lanier are Convenient, Simple & Smart ~~ Photograph by Robert Sutherland

Money cannot buy happiness, but you can rent a few hours of happiness at these locations for boat rentals on Lake Lanier.

Lake Lanier is a 38,000 acre paradise.  Renting a boat on Lake Lanier provides access to some of the country’s best fishing.  You can go at your own speed and find secluded coves in the lake’s many islands where you can spend an afternoon or a week.  There’s nothing like being the captain of a pontoon boat and taking friends and family for a sunset cruise on Lanier.

Renting a boat on Lake Lanier makes financial sense.  You can choose a houseboat that will fit 150 people or a zippy runabout for a day of skiing and tubing on a lake with no speed limits.  Rent a different boat, depending on your needs, every time you go.

You don’t have spend hours cleaning your own boat to get it ready or wonder if it will start or leave you stranded someplace.  Boat rentals on Lake Lanier are simple and easy.

There’s no need to buy a boat you will only use a few days a year … after you buy a trailer and a vehicle large enough to haul it around.  Renting a boat on Lake Lanier means you don’t have to pay for insurance or dock fees or storage fees or fee fees.

When you want to go for a boat ride you can either call ahead or show up on the dock to see what’s available.  You must have a credit card, a driver’s license and meet certain age limits.

Georgia also requires a boater safety course for some operators, but most places provide video training that will get you on the water quickly.

For what you’d pay for the sales tax on a new boat, you can rent a boat on Lanier several times … whenever you want.  And you never have to back rental boats down a boat ramp – wondering what or who you’re going to hit.
