meshJobs has Launched

Posted on November 19, 2008 by Rob

A few weeks ago we sent word ’round that we were going to be launching a jobs board dedicated to web and other tech-related jobs in Canada. We often get asked to list jobs, and the jobs board at the conference is always really popular, so we thought a board would be a good idea.

After all, while there are lots of job boards out there, most of them are about 10 to 20-1 US to Cdn jobs, or they charge rather a lot for their listings, or they have loads of features that seem to make it hard to just get quick info on job opportunities. We wanted to do something different – we wanted a simple, inexpensive Canadian jobs site for web and tech-related jobs.

And so we did it. Today we’re launching meshJobs.com. While we originally thought we would charge a small fee for it, we’ve decided that for the foreseeable future it will be free, except for a small charge if we need to control spam on the site. We hope you’ll consider using it. We’re working on a widget for listings, and we’ll do our best to promote meshJobs on our site, our personal sites, and at mesh events.

We hope you like it. And if you have suggestions about how we could do this better, don’t hesitate to drop us a note at jobs@meshconference.com.
