Trish Wimberley of the Australian Bat Clinic and Wildlife Trauma Centre looks after hundreds of baby bats that have been abandoned. She takes care of them until they are able to be released into the wild.
Do you think Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off of that bat because of how adorable it was?

I love seeing little bats flying at dusk in the summer~
I love throwing liter bottles up at them as they fly, causing them to chase them down with their sonar. It’s like playing fetch, except with gravity and only for a second before they realize it’s not a bug.
IWANTONE!
I love flying dogs, I got one tattooed on my ankle, as they are just the most adorable flying nocturnal things you can imagine. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE
D’awww, derr so kyoot. Hehe, I love bats. These look like some form of fruit bats or “flying foxes”, unless I miss my mark.
Fun fact: There are two major groups of bats and they are on opposite sides of the cute scale.
There are the megabats (fruit bats, flying foxes) that have cute faces like these guys and there are the microbats which are the nasty looking ones.
In German, these two types of bats have different names that highlight this difference: Flughund (hund=dog) and Fledermaus (maus=mouse.)
Oh wow, I only knew “fledermaus” – I had no idea there were “flughund”s, as well. Makes a lot of sense – fleder is also softer than flug. Google Translate, in all its shittiness, doesn’t give a proper translation for flughund. All direct and shit, it says “fly dog” hahaha.
I like the smaller bats, too. That’s all we have here in Michigan.
OMG…If only they would circle around your hear as a sign of affection…
Gaaaaaah, so freakin cute! <3
