Loose Ends

SUMMARY (Book Summary taken from author's site)

When Jonathan and Lauren met at University, it should have been the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Sadly, it wasn't to be, and Jonathan became `the one that got away.' Years later, at a University reunion, Jonathan shows up unexpectedly throwing Lauren into turmoil. The pair start talking, and soon all the old feelings come back. But will this time be different, or will their mutual affection continue to be unrequited?

TEASER:

I watched him walk toward the bar. Or maybe "studied him intently" would be a better turn of phrase. It seemed his ability to bring out the total "perv" in me hadn't waned. Turning to the jukebox, in case he turned around and caught me checking him out, I noticed he still had a couple of credits left. Ha, more fool him for leaving me unattended with jukebox credits! I punched in the codes for a couple of my favourite songs and giggled to myself

FIRST LINE:

When Kat had called to tell me about the five-year University reunion, my reaction had been, "So?"

PLOT:

Loose Ends is a hot romp perfect for those small bits of time you get to yourself and just want to enjoy a sexy read. The concept behind the book is a novelty and made the reading that much more enjoyable. I felt like I was sitting down with my best friend and hearing a good story over drinks, make it an erotic story at that! The recount of days gone by and the one man that almost got away brought back my own memories. I loved how the author brought the main characters past into the here and now allowing them another chance at that happily ever after they knew could be if only given that chance. Although by the end it was not so much a happily ever after but a start of a new beginning for them both. Loose Ends was a great short read and while it didn't give to much because of the length it did deliver on the steamy and sexy side of erotic! Smokin'!

WRITING:

Lucy Felthouse has a unique writing style all her own. I have not read another book writing in such a way that I felt I was sitting right next to her hearing her tell me a story. It was well written and entertaining and I must say she can write erotic! The grammar was spot on and I look forward to reading more of her work.

CHARACTERS:

I enjoyed spending time with both Johnathon and Lauren. They showed high mortal standards that I felt helped us see the type of characters they were. The friendship and bond they shared previous to their current encounter added great sexual tension between them and spiced up the moment they get together.

LAST THOUGHTS:

This is my first book from Lucy Felthouse but I can guarantee you it will not be the last! I loved her writing and her great story telling! If you want a quick bedtime story this novella will deliver sweet dreams for sure!
