DIY Lemonade Cleansing Scrub

To kick-off the summer season, I’ve been sharing some of my favorite homemade beauty recipes (like my Avocado Tea Mask). Today, I’m teaching you how to make my lemonade cleansing scrub–it’s easy as 1, 2, 3!
What you’ll need:
- 1 teaspoon of sugar (raw or brown sugar)
- 2 teaspoons of simple facial cleanser (like Cetaphil or Neutrogena)
- 3 whole lemons or half a cup of lemon juice
Instructions:
In a small bowl, combine all three ingredients and mix with a spoon. Apply to your face and neck in small circles, using a clean washcloth.
While your cleanser works to removes oil/dirt/residue, the sugar exfoliates the skin, and the lemon juice brightens the skin’s complexion and helps restore your skin’s natural level of acidity.
Rinse with cool water and you’re done! This is a great way to boost your cleanser without having to try or buy a new one.
