Applications now open for 2013 Accelerator
After a year hiatus, Startl is again partnering with DreamIt Ventures to offer a very select group of enterprises the opportunity to engage in an intensive, company-building immersion this May through August, at no cost to the firms. We are seeking enterprises with a basic working prototype, in the early stage of their life cycle, that are focused on creating cutting-edge, learner-centered digital products and services. Our first two years oversaw the launch of Mindsnacks, Showme, LearnBop and Hoot.me, among others.
Startl is selecting three LEARNING COMPANIES to participate in the regular DreamIt three-month residency program in New York City running from mid-May through mid-August 2013. If chosen, Startl will cover the cost of your participation.
The DreamIt program is designed to get you from where you are today to a world-class startup with a fundable product. By the end of the program, you’ll be presenting your start-up to a room full of investors who could fund your next round.
You’ll work harder than you ever have in your life, side-by-side with other brilliant, ambitious entrepreneurs and technologists. You’ll spend your days and nights together. You’ll socialize together. You’ll help each other when it’s crunch time and when you find yourself stuck in the mud.
Startl will provide each team with a mentor, specifically chosen to add the greatest value to the team’s ambition, plus we will run targeted sessions and workshops from leaders in the field of learning and education on topics ranging from human-centered design strategies, to marketing and distribution to schools, to beta testing opportunities with real users.
The DreamIt Startl collaboration will provide you with the startup funding, technologists and strategists who can join your team, speakers with expertise in every aspect of tech startups, donated legal and accounting services and introductions to angel investors, venture capitalists and other sources of public and private funding.
In short, we’ll do everything we can to make sure this is the summer of your life – both for you and your company.
