Molly E. Johnson (now Molly Elwood) always loved writing but officially became a writer after reporting sports for her small town newspaper in Sisters, OR–that is, until they discovered she knew nothing about football. She went on to write sarcastic movie, restaurant, and art reviews for the Linfield College newspaper while earning her BA.

Molly then barreled through an MA from Portland State University and barged (and naively blogged) through a year of teaching English to some of the coolest kids in China. She taught pre-schoolers songs about frogs and high schoolers what Justin Timberlake meant by saying he was “Bringing Sexy Back.”  Super Star became her favorite song to run to.

Molly now lives in Portland, Oregon with Zach (her handsome, genius writer-husband), and Achilles (her handsome, genius writer-cat). She works as a copywriter/creative mind and spends her free time reading, writing, traveling (or dreaming about it), and lying through her teeth every chance she gets.

Spartacus and the Circus of Shadows is her first book.
