Pre-orders / Pre-purchase
Would be nice if there was a general way to flag products as pre-orders. That would cause downloads to not be available until the product is released.
We have now released WooCommerce Pre-Orders here: www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-pre-orders/
Release details: www.woothemes.com/2013/04/pre-orders-for-your-woocommerce-powered-store/

Needs a feature to allow you to charge a deposit (dollar amount or percentage of total)

I'm working on building a new site that relies heavily on pre-orders. I just realized that an order can only consist of a single pre-order at a time. I want the customer to pre-order multiple items and the current functionality completely discourages that behavior, not to mention the problems it creates for combined shipping. We really need to be able to have multiple pre-order items in a single order.

Would really like to be able to checkout with multiple item. Our store is all pre-order items.

@Leo Koo
Did you find a solution? I have exactly the same problem: I bought the plugin Pre Order on WooTheme store, but you can order one product at a time. So if my client want the product in black AND white, it must pass two times at checkout.
I understand that the cart can not manage orders and preorders at the same time, but I do not see why in "pre-command mode" you can only add one product.
Can anyone help me find a solution? Half of my shop is scheduled to be pre-ordered so I'm stuck! -

Improve Pre-Orders as the current version only allows 1 pre-order item in cart at all times. Thus we're not able to add normal items nor multiple pre-order items.
This makes it harder for customers to purchase from us, who are mainly carrying items via pre-order.
Better to improve it by letting everyone able to pre-order any amount of items they need and have a cart of various pre-order and normal products.
Quite urgent as we can't keep stocks of the full product range, but only those we know can move =)
Thanks!

We've never had trouble getting support from IgniteWoo - always get a prompt response.
Anyway, how's the WooTheme's Pre-Order plugin - anyone used it? We'd like to buy a copy but would appreciate a brief comment or 2 first. Anyone?

I tried Ignite Woo plugin, it was filled with errors. Their javascript broke products section in admin panel, if you don't have their updater plugin then preorder plugin will just trough bunch of nonsense errors at you and you won't be able to use it or activate it until you install their updater plugin, they have some amateur programmers that hard link images on localhost.
On top of that they are not responding to support requests from people that bought their most expensive "99sites" licence.

Yes, yes and yes again!
The option to add coming soon products is very much needed.

@Anonymous: I emailed IgniteWoo first and got a response same day, then called the next day at 9pm CST (after I got off work) and someone there answered the phone, and answered all my questions.
So.... why are you posting anonymously? I find your comment suspicious at best.
