Creature Movie Review

This is a review of the movie Creature .

Creature is a horror film that starts out with a bang and ends with a fizzle. The ride along the way is engaging and fun, though.

The Layout

A group of young adults led by an ex-Navy Seal decide to spend some time in the Louisiana back country. On the way there they hear a tale of Lockjaw from a convenience store owner. Lockjaw is a half man half alligator.

The movie is a horror story with some action thrown in, as one by one the people are killed by Lockjaw. Toss in some local incest and inbreeding and you got a complete movie.

The Good

The Lockjaw legend is a great idea with an excellent back story. You never know what is exactly true and what is false and it leads to making you want to sit and pay attention.

It is a violent movie and it plays well. There are some imaginative deaths and conclusions to fights.

The ending isn’t what you think it is at first and is enjoyable.

The Bad

Sometimes the movie gets bogged down and there is a number of expository scenes that hamper the flow. Also, the acting isn’t horrible, but it isn’t great. It’s meh.

Is Creature a great movie? No, not by any means. Is it enjoyable? Sure is if you like horror and action movies!
