Table for Five is a personal blog written by Elizabeth Edwards. Because I love telling people what I think about the stuff I’ve used, I accept products either directly from companies, through review networks, or through P.R. firms for review. Within the body of the review post, I will clearly state what I received. I do not charge an additional fee to review a product, so unless otherwise stated, you can assume that no other compensation besides the product was received.
Occasionally, I may receive additional compensation for participating in a product review or product giveaway campaign. This compensation may take the form of a cash payment, a gift card, a free trial membership to a website, or a discount on a purchase. If I receive this form of compensation from a company or P.R. firm to thank me for taking the time to review, research, write, edit, and publish my post about their product or service, I will clearly state at the end of the post that compensation was received.
Products I receive for review are shipped to me at no cost to me. Products sent on my behalf to the winner(s) of my giveaways are shipped to those winners by the company or P.R. firm at no charge to me.
For companies looking for an honest and thorough review of their website, I work as a freelance writer. I charge those companies a small fee to compensate me for the time I take to review, write, edit, and publish my post. I will clearly state that the post is sponsored either in a statement at the end of the post or by using a provided sponsorship logo badge.
I am also occasionally invited by a company to travel to their headquarters or other location to participate in a special event. It can be assumed that travel expenses including airfare, hotel, and meals during the event are paid for by the company. If I choose to write about the trip, the event, the company, or the company’s products, I will clearly state at the end of the post the relationship between myself and the company.
