UAH annually prepares an Annual Security Report and a Fire Safety Report in the interest of promoting student and employee safety and to comply with the requirements of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) of 2008. Students, prospective students, employees, and prospective employees are entitled to request a copy of the UAH Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report prepared in compliance with this Act. You are encouraged to review these reports for information on campus safety.
Annual Security Report
The Annual Security Report includes statistics for the past three years concerning crimes reported to Campus Security Authorities that occurred on campus, in off-campus buildings, or on property owned or controlled by the University, and on public property adjacent to the campus. The report also includes campus policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, victims' assistance programs, student discipline, campus resources, and other matters.
Fire Safety Report
The Fire Safety Report contains information regarding fire safety policies, fire safety systems and fire drills in residential facilities as well as statistics regarding the incidents of fire in residential facilities over the past three years.
Copies of these annual reports may be viewed and downloaded from this site. Written copies may be obtained by visiting or calling (256-824-6596) the UAH Police Department in the Intermodal Facility (IMF), or by requesting a copy by mail. Written requests may be mailed to the department at the following address:
