Core faculty position

ACGME accreditation

We are all excited to announce that the FMRWM has received continuous accreditation from the ACGME. This is the highest level of accreditation allowed, and means that our next site visit should be in 2025. Our faculty, staff, and residents all worked extremely hard to get the residency to this point, and we look forward to the next ten years!

Resident scholarly activity update

Four of our residents recently presented a case at the Big Mountain Medical Conference in Whitefish. Doctors Kevin Kropp, Sarah Watson, Saul Rivard, and Sarah Zuger spoke to members of the Montana Academy of Family Physicians.

The Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana is a 3-year family medicine program sponsored by The University of Montana and affiliated with the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Network.

FMRWM was founded on the belief that a residency program should develop excellent physicians and should serve the community, whether in a bustling university town or a hamlet of 200 people. And, since we are fortunate enough to call Western Montana home, the program aims to inspire a work/life balance that nurtures both personal and professional passions.
