The Museum offers discounted admission for visits, tours, and packages to groups of 10 or more for the Museum’s collections and selected exhibitions. Membership benefits and free individual admission may not be used in conjunction with group visits.

Guided Tours

Intimate guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more. Group tours include orientation, discounts at The MFAH Shop, and all-day Museum admission. See one of the many exhibitions on view, or select a themed tour from the topics below. Reservations are required at least three weeks in advance, and payment must be received a minimum of one week prior to the tour.

Self-Guided Visits

Groups of 10 or more may book a visit to explore the permanent collections without a guide. Ticketed exhibitions are also available for these self-guided visits. For a discounted group rate, make your reservations two weeks in advance, and make your payment a minimum of 24 hours prior to your visit.

Group Visits to Rienzi

Daytime Group Tours
Group tours of Rienzi are intimate experiences in which visitors enjoy the hospitality of a Houston home and the glamour of 18th- and 19th-century Europe. Group tours are available Wednesday–Saturday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. for groups of 10 or more. Discount pricing applies.

“After Hours” Private Group Tours
Experience Rienzi and its art collection in the glow of twilight without the distractions of the daily crowd. Private, docent-led “After Hours” group tours are available Wednesday–Friday.

Group Visits to Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens

Travel back in time to colonial America at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, the MFAH house museum for American decorative arts. The estate is set amidst 14 acres of richly landscaped gardens adorned by fountains and statues. Discount admission rates are available for groups of 24 or more.
