Anthropology students to present research at conference
Five undergraduate students from the Anthropology Department will present research at the Middle Atlantic Archaeological Conference March 7-10 in Virginia Beach.
Students Derek Johnson, David Garner, Shannon Fleming, Hannah Conrad, and Beau Lockard will present papers at the conference. Garner and Fleming co-authored a paper, as did Conrad and Lockard. Johnson collaborated with Dr. Thomas Whyte.
Research from the papers is included in a symposium that will be given by Dr. Whyte titled "Archaeological Science: New Endeavors in the Old Fashioned New Archaeology."
Each of the students attending the conference received $200 travel grants from the Office of Student Research.
