Register for the GMAT Exam

The GMAT exam is the gold standard of graduate business admissions, trusted and preferred by more than 6,000 schools worldwide.

The GMAT exam, available around the world throughout the year, lets you showcase the skills that business school admissions officers and corporate recruiters look for.

Admissions deadlines for graduate business programs vary. Check with the schools you are interested in attending and set up your GMAT exam ahead of time to ensure your scores are reported prior to application deadlines.

The GMAT exam is available around the world throughout the year.

Before you decide to register for the GMAT exam, search for a convenient testing location that has available seats.

When you register to take the GMAT exam, you are agreeing to the Privacy Policy on mba.com and all of the terms and conditions set forth in the GMAT Handbook.

You may cancel your GMAT exam if you do not intend to reschedule.

You may receive a partial refund of US$80 if you cancel your exam by your deadline.

Your registration fee will be forfeited if you miss your scheduled GMAT exam. Cancellation refund amounts are subject to change without notice and according to local law.

If you cancel your appointment:

• More than seven calendar days before the scheduled test date and time: US$80.00 refund
• Within seven calendar days before the scheduled test date and time: No refund 

If you are testing in South Korea:

• More than seven calendar days before the scheduled test date and time: US$150.00 refund
• Within seven calendar days before the scheduled test date and time: US$50.00 refund

If for any reason you need to change the date of your GMAT exam, you may reschedule.

You may reschedule your GMAT exam at any available test center around the world.

The fee you pay for your new exam will depend on when you reschedule. If you are scheduled with accommodations, refer back to your approval letter for the number to call to reschedule. 

Rescheduling Fees

A rescheduling fee will apply as stated below:

• More than 7 calendar days before the scheduled test date, time, or location: US$50.00 fee (each time you reschedule)
• Within 7 calendar days before the scheduled test date, time, or location: Additional US$250.00 fee

If you believe you can do better with more practice, it may be worthwhile to retake the exam.

Were you rushed? Feeling nervous? Now that you know what to expect on test day, you may want to consider taking the GMAT exam again – this time with less anxiety.

You may retake the GMAT exam once every 31 calendar days, but no more than five times in a rolling 12-month period. You can determine the date you may retake the exam by entering your current or most recent test date. After you enter this date, you will receive the following response: “You may register for an exam on [date] or later.”
