The goal of The University of Alabama Police Department is to provide a safe and secure environment for all members of our community, but the responsibility of a safe environment must be shared with you. University Police work hard to help you maintain your personal safety and protect your property by providing full law enforcement services and sharing information you can use to reduce your chances of becoming a victim of a crime. University Police provide an array of services that include Police Patrol, Investigations, Community Services and Police Communications. Together, we can make our campus a safe and secure place in which to live, learn, work and play.
For police assistance, or to report a crime or suspicious incident, please call the University Police at (205) 348-5454, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The University of Alabama Police Department offers a variety of crime prevention and safety programming. To schedule a program, contact Community Services at (205) 348-8361 during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or contact your local COP office after 5:00 p.m, 7 days a week.
