C O M M E N C E M E N T |
| Each
candidate for a graduate degree must apply for the degree no later than the
published “Last Day to Register or Add a Course” for the Fall or Spring
semester (or the first term of the Summer session) in which requirements for
the degree are to be completed. The last day to register or add a course for
each semester is published on the Office of
University Registrar
website.
The "Application for Degree" form is available online through the mybama.ua.edu website. Your Admission to Candidacy form should have been completed and submitted to the Graduate School well in advance of the Application for Degree. (See Section 4.11 of Graduate Catalog for details). Thesis and dissertation
writers should follow all guidelines at the Graduate School’s site for
Electronic Theses &
Dissertations.

Note that candidates for doctoral degrees are required to attend commencement when diplomas will be awarded. A written request for authorization of absence must be made to the Dean of the Graduate School. |
