Why study this course?

If you want to study journalism in an international context and gain practical skills in news selection, news gathering and news presentation at global events, our course is the only purely practical international journalism course in the UK - 70% of your time will be spent doing the job - writing stories and broadcasting them. This is reinforced by learning about journalism in international news media and in different national settings and studying political, economic, technological, social and cultural influences on journalism practices. In the final year you will get to produce a magazine with 6 editions, working to the cyclical timeframe of a bi-monthly publication. This is a flexible course, designed to allow you to focus on the things that interest you and to customise your studies to give you the maximum advantage on your career path.
