PRODUCTION REPORT
The Utah Film Commission recently produced its annual report for the past fiscal past year. There were 20 film projects under the umbrella of studios, independents and cable features that filmed in Utah. Some of these included 12 DOGS OF CHRISTMAS, AFTER EARTH, DOOR WAY TO HEAVEN and THE LONE RANGER.
UTAH FILM HISTORY EXHIBIT
Working together with the Utah State Capitol Preservation Board, the Utah Film Commission is pleased to announce that we have been able to secure the use of two display cases for the purpose of presenting and preserving the Stateโs rich film history.
GRANITE HIGH DEVELOPMENT
Granite High School located in South Lake City, is about to go under a major renovation and become a motion picture and television production facility – along with office, restaurant and retail space. On October 2nd, the city of South Lake announced that a partnership between the city, and private investors would begin

In 2003 the first “Spot On” contest took place. 43 winning commercials later, we are happy to present the 10th annual “Spot On” Commercial Contest. The purpose of the contest is to have our local film community from students to professional to use their creative talents to produce and direct a 30 second commercial spot
UTAH IN HOLLYWOOD
In September our office once again held our Utah in Hollywood event for the third time. Once again held in Los Angeles, this reception style gathering was attended by producers, studio executives and actors that are based in Los Angeles and Utah.
