Private Applicator Training (PAT)
Montana is divided into 5 PAT regions with one of the regions reaching their recertification year annually. Private applicators need to accrue 6 credits within their respective recertification cycle. Applicators initially certified after June 30th within the 3rd year of their certification cycle will be pro-rated 3 private applicator recertification credits. Furthermore, if an applicator is initially certified in the last 12 months of their certification cycle they will be awarded 6 recertification credits and grandfathered into the next cycle without the need to accumulate any recertification credits. Credits DO NOT carry over from one cycle to the next.
We have multiple types of private applicator recertification opportunities including online credit oppportunities, in-state program opportunities, and out-of state program opportunities.
